God has NOT changed His mind!

Hey hey heeeyyyyy……..

Today we are gonna talk about God has NOT changed His mind. One of the biggest lessons I’ve personally learned and still learning during my walk with God is that it is impossible for Him to change His mind. Sometimes we think because it hasn’t happened yet or nothing seems to line up with what God said, our biggest fear kicks in. Maybe we heard wrong or maybe He changed His mind.

As we begin to grow and mature in our faith, God will begin to speak and confirm to us in new ways than when we first heard Him. This happens for many reasons. One is because He calling you into a deeper relationship and connection with Him. If He always spoke the same way we wouldn’t really be growing in and with Him. Think of it like school. As you progress from grade to grade, the teachers don’t all teach the same things. You are being challenged and stretched in new ways.

When God first reveals the plans He has for you, especially those who are new believers, He will confirm what He has spoken several times. This is to ensure that you get it and that you understand. You will begin to see confirmations everywhere you look. But, for those who have been walking with Him a little longer, it’s not so much the same. When He speaks and confirms, He won’t always keep reminding you of what He said. It’s your job to remember and hang on to that word regardless if He is confirming it or not. You are to have faith in what God speaks and reveals and not need the numerous confirmations it took when He first began speaking to you.

I had to learn this along the way. And sometimes I still remind myself that God has not changed His mind about what He promised me. Either the timing could be off or maybe the way He wants to manifest is different and much better than what we have imagined in our own minds. When God gives me a task and I’m expecting an outcome that hasn’t come to pass, that does not mean my expectations are in vain. It just means that maybe God is drawing me deeper into revelation.

It’s okay for us to petition God or ask for wisdom and understanding. Many times when I do this, I’m not asking the wrong questions. I’m just not asking the right ones. God is not ignoring you. He’s challenging you. Is it possible that He desires to show you more? He is always doing a new thing. This is why the Bible tells us to forget the things of the past. If we are always saying, “God, I thought You said,” we are not allowing Him to transform and renew our minds. Stretching us in new and different ways of thinking. This also keeps our hearts pliable. Meaning we are easily able to move and shift with God.

If I haven’t learned anything else, I’ve learned that God is unpredictable. He is Not a formula. You can’t always figure God out so don’t drive yourself crazy trying. Just flow with Him. Flow with His ways and His plans. This will also keep you from getting caught up in seeing things from a limited perspective. When things don’t go my way, I’ve learned…..(scratch that) I’m STILL learning to say, “Okay God, I trust that you have a better way!” This did Not come overnight. This took growing and maturing. This took trusting and believing. This took standing and praying.

When things don’t go our way, the enemy loves to whisper lies in your ear and sow seeds of defeat. Don’t give him the victory. The devil is a liar. You don’t have to receive anything he speaks to you. I've said it before…..return all negativity to sender!! God is pleased when we trust Him although we haven’t seen the manifestation. The Bible says it is impossible to please God without faith. I no longer look at certain things as a let down. I am now beginning to look at them as new ways to have my mind blown!!! In ways that only God can do.

This is why it is important to make room for God to show up and show out in our lives. God wants to surprise you, and if we always know every detail of His plan, then it’s not a surprise at all. Leave room for God to blow the lid off of your expectations. When things don’t go your way, remember that God has not changed His mind. Instead of getting in your feelings, (something I’ve also had to learn) ask Him what He desires for you to see in this situation. Ask Him to help you see what you cannot see. To see what He sees. This is the language of a mature believer!! See you next Tuesday!
